Transworld Business Advisors of Houston was honored to participate and attend this year's IBBA, M&A Source, and Transworld national conference held in Denver, Colorado.
These 3 conferences are held jointly on an annual basis. Attendees are exposed to Business Brokerage and M&A Intermediary training, networking, and industry-related forecasts. The International Business Brokers Association is the USA’s leading business broker association. The M&A Source is the nation’s leading M&A Intermediary association. Transworld is the USA’s leading business brokerage firm.
Attendees include Business Brokers, M&A intermediaries, Private Equity Groups, Family Practices, Lenders, and other professionals that support the industry. This annual event is attended by the top business brokers in the country and is an opportunity to advance their knowledge of the business brokerage market and the business brokerage process. Attendees are exposed to a litany of industry workshops. Gerald Brisson, President of Transworld Business Advisors of Houston stated, “I have personally attended more than 10 of these events.”
To kick off the start of these back-to-back conferences, Transworld Business Advisors held a two-day event with more than 250 attendees including office owners, brokers, and support staff members from across the globe. The conference highlighted topics such as advancements in technologies, reporting on record-breaking sales, metrics supporting Transworld's advantages in the marketplace, and more.
Transworld Houston was honored for the 7th year in a row to be recognized as one of the top-performing offices in the Transworld system and a recipient of the Millionaire's Club for the 4th time. In addition to this special team recognition, 7 of Transworld Houston's agents were presented with the President's Club award for having reached sales volume exceeding $1,500,000. Those recipients included Senior Advisors: Steve Merritt, Bob Latham, Bobbi Coffey, Ron Hankamer, Quoc Pham, Wayne Blease, and Carmen Hanna. We commend each one of these agents for their outstanding performance in the 2021 calendar year.
In conjunction with the Transworld Conference, the International Business Brokerage Association (IBBA) and M&A Source conference hosted a record-breaking 800 attendee conference. This conference attracts business brokers, M&A Intermediaries, and business service professionals offering an extensive business brokerage and M&A educational program. As part of this process, many of our team members have earned the right to be nationally recognized as Certified Business Intermediaries, Certified M&A Professionals, and M&A Master Intermediaries.
The overall message at this year’s conference was one of optimism. Despite the economic messaging we find ourselves bombarded with, there are many reasons to either sell or buy a business today. Private Equity Groups and Family Practices are cash ready and continue to aggressively seek both platform and add-on acquisitions, strategic buyers are looking to expand operations, baby boomer business owners are looking to sell pandemic tested quality businesses and retire, individual buyers are looking to diversify from the uncertainty of the stock market and the effects of inflation on cash assets, and increasing interest rates are still at historic lows. Locally, Transworld Business Advisors of Houston is experiencing a 2022 surge in business sale activity with more listings, more sales transactions, and more buyer interest than in both 2020 and 2021.
